If I had a nickle for every person that thought my last name was Mode, I'd be a rich man...
According to wikipedia: "Dorian mode or Doric mode can refer to three very different but interrelated subjects: one of the Ancient Greek harmoniai(characteristic melodic behaviour, or the scale structure associated with it), one of the medieval musical modes, or, most commonly, one of the modern modal diatonic scales, corresponding to the white notes from D to D, or any transposition of this, for example the scale from C to C with both E and B flatted." If you're so inclined the rest of the Wiki article is here.
Yeah, I'm not really sure what all that means either. However, way back in the day, I ran sound at a jazz club in Pittsburgh. Every musician that I'd introduce myself was like, "oh, like the mode". I'd smile and nod but have no clue what they were referring to until one day when wikipedia was kind enough to clue me in.
Long story somewhat shorter, I found myself in one of my top 5 favorite cities thanks to studying photography at the Art Institute of Pittsburgh. And this is where I started my photographic career shooting local bands.
There is a certain energy that accompanies performers of all types that I find absolutely intoxicating. This same spirit, if you will, I also find in high school seniors. And this is why, I have focused my career on the two.
Local is the way to do business. Local is the way I do business.
I am a staunch believer in amazing customer service. If you don't hear back from me within two business days, I've somehow had every single bone in my hands broken. I do train in Muai Thai and Tae Kwon Do, so I suppose it's not out of the realm of possibility...
— I’d love to hear from you
